Spectacular Sunstone Eye 2.93 ct greenpeach natural Oregon Sunstone
This one of a kind gemstone was hand dug by me from the Dust Devil Mine in May of 2021. When I saw it, I knew it would be special and indeed it is.
The original stone weighed over 50 ct and created two beautiful gems, both available through me.
It was cut by master cutter Mike Soebbing, "The Gemstone Man" of Montana. 100% crafted in the USA.
This stone will make fabulous pendant or ring by a skilled jewler. It is so unique with the rare "mystique" color which changes from peach to moss green by turning it.
For those who don't know, Oregon Sunstone is a rare cuprian laboradite feldspar which gets its color from microscopic copper schiller. It was formed 13-14 million years ago when a volcano erupted. They are only found in one small area of Eastern Oregon.
