Spectacular red Oregon Sunstone pair for earrings 3.8tcw
This pair of classic Oregon Sunstone red with a hint of orangeish pink is a stunning example of this stone.
Rare, as they're only found in one very remote spot in the world in the Eastern Oregon Outback, Oregon Sunstone is the official state gem. For centuries, these stones were prized by the Northern Piute, who called this rugged land home. They were often buried with it alongside them as one of their prized possessions. It was also traded with other tribes as a sort of currency.
Oregon Sunstone is notoriously difficult to color match. Finding this pair of stones, so similar in color, is rare indeed. They would make a perfect set of earrings.
The stones are calibrated at 9x7mm and have a tcw of 3.8 for the pair.
