Guaranteed to Wow! All natural Oregon sunstone, self mined and cut in USA. 7.6ct
As impressive as these photos look, they don't come close to doing this stone justice. This needs to be in a one of a kind statement piece of jewelry. The statement being "look at me".
This all natural sunstone comes from the Spectrum Mine in Eastern Oregon. It's one of the rare ones which feature both red and green, the colors shift as you turn it. It also has copper "shiller" which gives it its iridescence. Oregon Sunstone is the only copper bearing Sunstone and is not found anywhere else.
This is the state gemstone of Oregon and they were traded for years by Native Americans who belive the stone was created by the blood of a warrior being spilled in the stone.
We now know these stones were formed in a volcanic eruption about 14-16 million years ago.
This stone was self mined, and cut by an associate in the US, so if you're looking for a unique American gemstone, this is it.
