Oregon Sunstone is renowned for the "copper schiller", the microscopic bits of shimmering copper giving it almost an inner glow. Oregon Sunstone is unique in the world of feldspar materials in that it contains copper and is a facetable gem quality material.  It comes in many colors ranging from clear to yellowish golden to pink, red, green, and teal. Oftentimes, there will be two or more colors in the same stone. 
This is the official state gem of Oregon, and it was prized by Native American tribes long before European settlers came.
