Oregon Sunstone Toi et Moi ring
This is my take on the classic Toi et Moi ring. It features two 5.5mm Oregon Sunstones, one in rare and cool mossy green, the other in vibrant and warm peach pink.
The stones are in a simple sterling silver bezel setting with rhodium plating. The band is dainty with a width of 1.5mm.
The Toi et Moi (French for "You and Me") ring has a rich history dating back to the 18th century. The design originated in France during the Rococo period (1730s-1770s), characterized by intricate, curved lines and romantic motifs.
Napoleon Bonaparte popularized the Toi et Moi design when he gave Joséphine de Beauharnais a diamond and sapphire ring in 1796.
Ever since, these rings have become a symbol of love and commitment, often given as engagement or promise rings, or as anniversary gifts, and to symbolize the union of two becoming one.
It's quite affordable and offers a unique take on a classic. This ring is a US size 7, but it could be resized easily by a competent jeweler.
